Mission Statement |
We are a company geared towards the development of young, aspiring soccer
players. We are firm believers in the players and believe families come
first. The coaches of Cheese Athletics have played and coached at every
level of soccer and have a strong working knowledge of how to effectively
communicate with all ages.
We are committed to not only the success of the player, but to the success of the person. We teach the values necessary to be a leader on and off of the soccer field. Cheese Athletics Management and History
Cheese Athletics was created in 2007 by Matt Drago and is co-managed by
Garrett Ewald. Together they have developed a program to help young soccer
players succeed and grow into accomplished soccer players. Matt and Garrett
have played soccer since grade school and eventually played four years at
Carroll University together. Both Matt and Garrett received team and
Conference honors as Pioneers. Since they have played untimely amounts of
soccer they understand the game and the ways it is easiest to understand.
They are fully committed to teaching the game of soccer to any and all
ability levels.
Matt has Coached 7 seasons of Boys’ and Girls’ Soccer at Waukesha North High School at the freshman, JV, and Varsity levels. He also has coached 5 seasons of club soccer for the Waukesha Soccer Club and the La Crosse Soccer Club. Garrett is in charge of the Soccer Department of the Waterford Park and Recreation. He has been a part of the program for 10 years and has coached at Carroll University along with heading up their Reserve Squad for 2 seasons. The other coaches that make up the staff consist players and coaches from around the area. Each have varying backgrounds, bringing a diverse group together in order to teach the game of soccer in the way that it was intended. |
