Humans:

We will be officially playing for Waukesha Soccer Club for this coming fall and from here on out. Garrett and I have met with the club president, directors and who will from now on serve as our coach: Sal Garcia (which will also be done by committee, so give us some time to put this together).

With the transfer to Waukesha we are going to be seeing a few changes.

  1. Our field will not be an absolute and utter embarassement to us all. We will be able to play at UW Waukesha (on HWY 18, near Waukesha North) or WES (On East College Ave). Both are actually full size.
  2. We will be practicing more and on a more stringent schedule. We now have a club below us that has players that will be looking to play up and give us their numbers to ensure that we are competetive in every game we play. This is what I am most looking forward to: Full committment.
  3. Our league costs will increase. Do not despair quite yet. Without the help of a sponsor, it will be 50 bucks for a jersey (which is a legitament jersey, not a t-shirt), shorts and socks (you keep this on you, and will pay the same cost to replace it if it is lost). On top of that one time fee, we will reevaluate the cost of the team to get through a season, which should be very similar to the previous fee of 50 bucks for fall and 50 bucks for spring. Our current primary jersey's will be used as backups in case the team we are playing is navy blue.
  4. We are not sure on if we are running a camp like we did with Wauwatosa Club but we will have ways for players to give time (either coaching or reffing club sponsored events) to help decrease costs of league fees.

I am very excited about this change over, as I hope you are. This is a step in the right direction and we will soon winning the close games we have recently been losing.

-Drago

Ps- Keep August 1st open. We will try to schedule a scrimmage with Palermo at one of our new home fields that day. Practices will be announced shortly, you will be expected to attend.

That's generally what happens. Vaughan is in the same boat as you are...he plays for Stritch then we catch up with him in the winter indoor sessions and then spring ball as well. We allow this only because of his devilish good looks, you will need to bring something further to the equation for acceptance. We are currently looking for Ninja skills and/or x-ray vision skills.

We can never have enough ninja skills. What if Seybold attacks you on his knees as he is prone to do?? You weren't there last time he did it to me and i had to run for my life.

BTW, there are some good tournament matches this Saturday at Kickers and they are still putting together the times. Anyone want to go? Probably around 1130am.

Good to hear we finally have a real club to play for. Also will be nice that we're a Waukesha club considering about 80+% of us live in this area, should make getting people to practices a reality.
